WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN KILL
SHOCK HAZARD:
Always turn off power and unplug cord from wall and wait 5 minutes before
removing any cover of the power supply. If power supply is directly connected to a line disconnect box,
place line disconnect switch to OFF position. In the U.S., use a “lock-out / tag-out” procedure until the
service or maintenance work is complete. In other countries, follow appropriate national or local safety
procedures.
If power is required for servicing, be aware that dangerous voltages exist within the power supply
which could cause serious injury or death. If questions or problems arise during servicing, call the
Hypertherm Technical Services department listed in the front of this manual.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN KILL
SHOCK HAZARD:
Do not attempt repairs on the power board. Do not in any way cut away or remove
the protective conformal coating from the board. To do so will risk a short between the AC input circuit
to the output circuit and may cause serious injury or death.
The power supply and PC boards are subjected to dielectric and insulation resistance tests per
applicable CSA and IEC standards for the safety of the operator and service technicians.
Removal of the protective conformal coatings and other unauthorized repairs to the PC boards will void
the warranty.
If questions or problems arise during servicing, call the Hypertherm Technical Services department
listed in the front of this manual.
