10 – Torch Component Replacement

Install the torch body

Using a 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch wrench together (or 2 adjustable wrenches), tighten the torch body onto the torch
lead to 69.1 kg-cm (60 inch-pounds).

Install the pilot arc wire and screw. Tighten to 17.3 kg-cm (15 inch-pounds).

Complete the following procedures:

Install the mounting sleeve

on page 286.

Reconnect the torch and gas supply, and turn ON (

) the power.

Replacing the coupler and positioning sleeve (full-length only) or adapter (mini only)

Remove the mounting sleeve

Remove the torch body

Slide the coupler off the torch lead.

Slide the coupler onto the torch lead.
