Note:
Check with your municipality to see if your city uses chlorine, chloramines or a combination
of both. This will determine if the standard Green Coconut Carbon filter is adequate or if you
should upgrade to the optional KDF85/Catalytic Carbon upgraded filter. The Green Coconut
Carbon filter or optional KDF85/Catalytic Carbon upgraded filter is responsible for removing
chlorine and/or chloramines. If you don’t change these according to the schedule below, chlorine
and/or chloramines will break through to the membrane and deteriorate them quickly.
