6.1 Switching the extraction unit on / off

The extraction unit has a PC for controlling and documenting the
extraction. This means that it is necessary to start up and shut
down the extraction unit. The procedure for switching the extrac-
tion unit on and off properly is described below.

Switching the extraction module on

To switch on the extraction unit, proceed as follows:

Before switching on, check that the plug is inserted and the
pressurized air supply is open.

1. Switch on the extraction unit with the main switch.

On the monitor, the self-test of the PC runs after ≈ 5 ... 8
seconds.

2. After the loading of the Operating System, the user interface

of the extraction unit starts.

Select the required operating mode or start an extraction.
Refer to the ConTeS software manual for details on the user in-
terface.

Switching the extraction module off

To switch off the extraction unit, proceed as follows:

3. Exit the user interface and shut down the Operating System

of the PC.

4. Switch off the extraction unit at the main switch.

The extraction unit is now switched off and depressurized.

NOTICE! Wait for ≥ 20 seconds before you switch it on
again.
