Checking the TCU / Servicing

Changing the Filter Element

Change the filter element as soon as the filter display reaches the red mark, or after
one year of operation at the latest.

The filter unit is equipped with a clogging indicator (13),
which shows the differential pressure in the filter housing
via the filter element, to monitor the degree of
contamination.

Exchange the filter element as soon as 0.4 bar has been
reached on the contamination display.

The differential pressure display moves from the green to
the red zone at 0.4 bar.

A check-up should be performed when filling the degasification and dewatering unit.

To change the filter element, proceed as follows:

When the oil level in the degasification and
dewatering unit reaches ~ ½ fill level, close
the ball valve (5) at the inlet of the TCU.

Switch the TCU off at the main switch.

Open the bleed plug in the cover of the filter
housing. The oil is sucked from the filter
housing into the degasification unit.

Unscrew the 4 screws on the filter housing
cover counter-clockwise.
