8.3 Changing the filter element - Toploader

In this chapter, you will find the procedure for changing the fil-
ter element.

1x Allen wrench

= 5 mm

1x Allen wrench

= 6 mm

The following steps relate to a

Toploader

filter unit/filter

housing.

Switch the hydraulic system/the unit off and close the

shut-off device at inlet (IN) and outlet (OUT).

Secure the unit from being switched on accidentally dur-

ing maintenance.

Depressurize the filter housing. In order to do so, care-

fully open the bleed screw (Air Bleed) on the filter bowl

cover (

= 6 mm). Do not unscrew the bleed screw

completely.

CAUTION! The operating medium escapes.
