Changing the filter element
Tools needed:
Strap wrench (for opening the union nuts)
To change the filter element, proceed as follows:
1. Drain the test liquid from the filter
housing.
To do that, carefully unscrew the drain
plug (2) at the bottom end of the filter
bowl in a clockwise direction using a 6
mm Allen wrench.
The drain plug has ventilation slots.
Catch the approximately 1.5 liters of
test liquid that drain out in a suitable
container.
2. Undo union nut (1) in a clockwise
direction and then remove filter bowl (2)
downwards and place it on the shelf
intended for this purpose in the CTM.
You can use a strap wrench to
remove the union nuts.
3. Remove the used filter element from
the element mount and dispose of it
properly.
