Remove plug-in stand

Shift the transmission to the neutral position.

Condition

Ambient temperature: < 20 °C (< 68 °F)

Push the cold start button in all the way.

Press start button .

Info

Press the start button for a maximum of 5 sec-

onds. Wait for 15 seconds before a further attempt

at starting.
At low temperatures, wait for 30 seconds.
At temperatures below 6 °C (43 °F), several

attempts at starting may be necessary to warm-up

the lithium-ion battery and thereby increase the

starting power.
After 6 unsuccessful starting attempts, do not

try again, and check the vehicle for other errors

instead.
During the starting process, the malfunction indi-

cator lamp lights up.

Activating launch control

Info

The launch control helps the rider to generate optimum motorcycle acceleration at the beginning of a

race. The maximum speed of the engine with the throttle valve fully opened (full throttle) is reduced.

After the start, it is gradually increased up to the maximum engine speed. The clutch must be operated

exactly as it would be without launch control activated.

Condition

The motorcycle is stationary.
The engine is running at idle speed.
The transmission is in neutral.

when launch control is activated.
