Preparatory work
–
Remove the main silencer. ( p. 74)

Main work
(All models apart from special models)
–
Remove all the screws on the main silencer.
–
Take off silencer cap

and O-ring

.
–
Pull glass fiber yarn filling

out of the silencer cap.
–
Pull glass fiber yarn filling

from the inner tube.
–
Clean the parts that need to be reinstalled and check for
damage.
–
Mount new glass fiber yarn filling

on the inner tube.
–
Position new glass fiber yarn filling
3
in the silencer cap.
–
Insert O-ring and silencer cap into outer tube

.
–
Mount and tighten all of the screws.

silencer M5 7 Nm (5.2 lbf ft)

Remove all the screws on the main silencer and remove
steel strips

Drill out all rivets on the main silencer and remove steel
strips

. Carefully knock the rivets inward.
–
Take off silencer cap

and outer tube

–
Pull glass fiber yarn filling

off of inner tube

.
–
Remove the remains of the rivets.
–
Clean the parts that need to be reinstalled and check for
damage.
–
Wind the adhesive tape around the end of the inner tube.
–
Mount new glass fiber yarn filling

on the inner tube.
–
Remove the adhesive tape from the inner tube.
–
Slide outer tube

over the glass fiber yarn filling.
–
Insert silencer cap
3
into the outer tube.
–
Position steel bands
2
and mount all the rivets.
–
Position steel bands
1
, mount and tighten all the
screws.
Guideline

Finishing work
–
Install the main silencer. ( p. 75)
