SERVICE WORK ON THE CHASSIS 12

Move the hydraulic clutch fluid reservoir mounted on the han-
dlebar into a horizontal position.

–

Remove screws

–

Take off cover

with membrane

F02352-10

–

Fill bleeding syringe

with the appropriate hydraulic fluid.

Syringe (50329050000)
Brake fluid DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 (

p. 155)

–

On the slave cylinder, remove the protection cap and bleeder
screw

and mount bleeding syringe

–

Now press the fluid into the system until it emerges from
hole

of the master cylinder without bubbles.

–

Occasionally extract the fluid from the master cylinder reser-
voir to prevent overflowing.

–

Remove the bleeding syringe. Mount and tighten the bleeder
screw. Mount the protection cap.

–

Correct the fluid level of the hydraulic clutch.

Position the cover with the membrane. Mount and tighten the
screws.

Immediately clean up any brake fluid that has over-
flowed or spilled with water.
