Removing the front wheel

Preparatory work

–

Raise the motorcycle with the rear wheel stand. (

p. 84)

Raise the motorcycle with the front wheel stand. (

p. 85)

Main work

Remove screw



and pull wheel speed sensor



out of the hole.

–

Remove screws



and spacers



–

Press back the brake linings with a light lateral tilting of the brake caliper on the brake

disc.

–

Pull the brake caliper carefully back from the brake disc and hang it to one side.

Info

Do not pull the hand brake lever while the brake caliper is removed.

Loosen screw



by several rotations.

–

Loosen screws



–

Press your hand on screw



to push the wheel spindle out of the axle clamp.

–

Remove screw



Warning

Danger of accidents

Reduced braking efficiency due to damaged brake

disc.

Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-

aged.

–

Holding the front wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the front wheel out of the

fork.
