3. If you experience a howling or squea-
ling sound, this is called feedback.
To eliminate feedback, turn down the
volume control or move the microphone
further away from the earphone or
headphone.
Also, try turning the tone control down
(or counterclockwise) to reduce the
high frequency.
4. The headphone-socket is adapted for
the mono-headphone, which is inclu-
ded in delivery. If you use stereo ear-
phones or headphones, only one side
of the headphones will work.
Maintenance and care
The
Pocketalker® Ultra does not require
any maintenance. If the unit does become
dirty, simply wipe it clean with a soft, damp
cloth. Never use spirits, thinners or other
organic solvents. Do not set up the
Pocketalker® Ultra where it will be ex-
posed to full sunlight for long periods.
In addition, it must be protected against
excessive heat, moisture and severe
mechanical shocks.
Note:
This product is
not
protected against
splash water. Do not place any containers fil-
led with water, such as flower vases, or any-
thing with an open flame, such as a lit cand-
le, on or near the product.
Please make sure that the batteries are not
exposed to excessive heat from such as
sunlight, fire or anything similar.

The carrying cord enables you to carry the
Pocke-talker® Ultra safely while keeping
your hands free.
Hints and tips
The
Pocketalker® Ultra has been de-
signed to be as easy to use as possible.
However, if you have trouble, check the
following:
1. Make sure the microphone is plugged
into the `MIC` jack and the earphone or
headphone is plugged into the head-
phone socket
2. Make sure the batteries are not deple-
ted and have been inserted correctly
into the battery compartment.
If rechargeable, make sure the batte-
ries are sufficiently charged.
