Installing a J-type radio assembly

This chapter applies to the J-type radio assembly only. If you are
installing a cradle-type radio assembly, go to

Chapter 5 – Installing a cradle-type radio assembly.

This chapter includes:

Installing a shim for vertical transmit polarization on
page 32

Installing the radio assembly on page 36

NOTICE

•

Do not remove the protective packing material from the feed
horn until installation of the radio assembly is complete.

•

Do not remove the transparent moisture seal on the small
end of the feed horn. However, if the seal is damaged,
wrinkled, or loose, remove it.

•

Be careful not to damage the feed horn window. Do not
touch the plastic film.
