Chapter 3 • Installing the antenna and radio assembly

6. Insert one 5/16-inch 

×  

1¾-inch bolt, with flat washer and 

lock washer up through the feed support arm and long adapter 
bracket, and into the threaded socket on the front of the 
transmitter. 

7. Tighten only enough to hold the radio in place.

CAUTION

Tighten the nut only enough to secure the radio and adapter 
bracket to the feed support arm. Excessive tightening of 
this nut can crack or crush the adapter bracket.
