3 Installation

Issue 03 (2019-12-13)

3.2.2 (Optional) Installing Antiseismic Kits

Step 1

Determine the positions for installing antiseismic kits based on the marking-off template.

Step 2

Drill holes for installing expansion bolts, and install expansion bolts.

Step 3

Move the UPS to the installation position over its castors.

Step 4

Remove the PDU cover.

Step 5

Secure two antiseismic kits to the front and rear of the chassis using eight M6 screws and four
M12 screws

Step 6

Adjust the cabinet position so that the expansion bolt holes are aligned with the four holes at
the bottom of the cabinet.

Step 7

Check the cabinet levelness using a level. If the cabinet is not leveled, adjust the leveling feet.

Step 8

Secure the two antiseismic components to the floor using four M12x60 expansion bolts.

Step 9

Reinstall the PDU cover.

3.2.3 (Optional) Installing a Battery Monitoring Unit

Connect the BMU by using a 04080298 transfer cable, which is delivered with the BMU.



When no ambient temperature and humidity sensor is installed, connect the BMU to the
COM1 port on the UPS.

Figure 3-23

shows the position of the BMU on the UPS.



When an ambient temperature and humidity sensor is installed, connect the BMU to the
RS485_OUT port on the sensor.

Figure 3-24

shows the position of the BMU on the UPS.
