11.17 Why can't I access LTE services when using an LTE
phone?
1. You must use an LTE-enabled SIM card in order to access LTE services. Contact your
carrier to order a replacement SIM card.
2. If you can only access LTE in some locations, then LTE services are not yet available in all
areas. China is still in the process of expanding 4G network coverage. In many regions there
may be no 4G network available or the 4G signal strength may be very weak, therefore it is
normal not to be able to access 4G networks.
Check your settings: Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Preferred network type . If
3G/2G mode is selected, switch to 4G/3G/2G mode.
3. If you have already activated 4G services, check that your phone supports the 4G frequency
used by your carrier.
11.18 How can I save my data usage?

Use Wi-Fi if there is a Wi-Fi network available.

Turn off your data service when you don't need it.

When you surf the Internet, set your phone to block images on web pages.
− On the browser screen, open the options menu and touch No images/Off . Wait until
the icon is changed to No images/On .

If not needed, turn off background data synchronization.

Open the notification panel, and touch .

Close networked applications not in use.
− Open the list of recently used applications. Flick left or right across an application or
touch to close it, or touch to close all applications simultaneously.
11.19 How do I set my phone not to automatically recover
the mobile network connection when the Wi-Fi
connection is interrupted?
When Wi-Fi and mobile data are both turned on, your phone prefers Wi-Fi. If the Wi-Fi
connection is interrupted, your phone prompts you whether to recover the mobile data
connection.
For some phone models, you can set to not recover the mobile data connection by default. You
can go to
Settings > More > Mobile networks > Mobile data switch reminder and select
Do not resume mobile data .
