3.4.4 Fire Extinguishing System (Standard)

Table 3-6 Monthly maintenance checklist for the fire extinguishing system

Device

Method

Fire alarm

Check indicators on

the fire alarm control

panel.

The power

indicator turns

on, and the

alarm indicator

turns off.

Replace the device.

Batteries of

the fire

alarm control

panel and

ASD

Check whether the

battery wiring

terminals are

corroded.

The wiring

terminals are in

good condition

without

corrosion.

Clean the contaminated and corroded

terminals. Replace batteries whose

terminals are severely corroded by

referring to "Replacing Fire

Extinguishing System Parts."

Fire

extinguisher

Check the

appearance of the

fire cylinder,

electromagnetic

valve, pipeline, and

nozzle.

All devices of

the fire

extinguisher are

intact, free from

deformation and

mechanical

damage.

Replace the fire cylinder by following

instructions in "Replacing a Fire

Cylinder." For details about how to

replace other devices, contact Huawei

technical support.

All devices of

the fire

extinguisher are

free from rust

on the exterior,

and the coating

is intact.

Repaint the device.

The lead seal

and safety signs

on hand-

operated devices

are intact.

Replace the electromagnetic valve.

Read the pressure

shown on the

pressure gauge.

The pressure

pointer is in the

green zone.

Ask a local maintenance engineer to

check whether the fire cylinder leaks

extinguishant. If leakage occurs, the

maintenance engineer asks the fire

extinguisher manufacturer to recharge

the extinguishant.

Emergency

light

Switch off the power

circuit breaker.

The emergency

light turns on.

Replace the device.

Smoke

detector

Check the smoke

detector indicator.

The indicator

blinks once

every 6s.

Replace the smoke detector.
