Operation Scenario

Upgrade the tool to better manage the ES3000 V3 when a new version is available.

Procedure

Step 1

The tool is integrated into the driver package. You can install the driver package by referring
to

5.4.1 Installing Citrix Drivers and Tools

Scenario

On Citrix, drivers and tools are provided in the .iso format.

The tool package name format is as follows:

hiodriver-<tool version>-<OS version>.iso, for example,

hiodriver-3.3.9.1-6u2.iso

Preparations

You have correctly installed the ES3000 V3 on the server.

You have downloaded the .iso package and verified its integrity.

You have used WinSCP or other software to upload the .iso package to the server, such
as the

/home

directory.

Procedure

Step 1

Step 2

Go to the directory that stores the .iso package, for example,

/home

Step 3

Mount the .iso package to a directory, for example,

/tmp/citrix

mount -o loop hiodriver-3.3.9.1-6u2.iso /tmp/citrix

Step 4

Go to the directory to which the .iso package is mounted, for example,

/tmp/citrix

cd /tmp/citrix

Step 5

Run

install.sh

/tmp/citrix

to install the drivers and tools.

./install.sh

Step 6

Run the following commands to obtain the tool help information or query the installed drivers
and tools:

hioadm –h
