7.4 Maintaining RMON
When an RMON operation fault occurs, you can run the
debugging
command in the user view
to locate the fault and analyze its cause.

CAUTION
Debugging affects the performance of the system. So, after debugging, run the
undo debugging
all
command to disable it immediately.

debugging
command in the user view to locate
the fault.

7.5.1 Examples for Configuring RMON
Networking Requirements
Ethernet0/0/1 on the Switch belongs to a VLAN.
As shown in
, it is required that the network connected to Ethernet0/0/1 be monitored
to obtain real-time and history statistics of broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast packets
on the network.
If the number of broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast packets in the VLAN becomes
abnormal, the Switch sends a Trap message to the NMS.
