5.3 Installing the Infrared Sensor

This describes how to install the infrared sensor.

Context

The requirements for the installation of the infrared sensor are as follows:

The infrared sensor should not be exposed to sunlight or other strong light.

The infrared sensor should not directly face heat sources such as air-conditioners or
caliducts.

The infrared sensor should directly face positions prone to unauthorized entry.

The infrared sensor should not be installed on the wall beside the door.

The monitoring range should be clear of obstacles so that the infrared sensor can be directly
seen in the monitoring range.

The Fresnel lens of the infrared sensor should be kept clean.

The pyroelectric components of the infrared sensor should not be touched.

NOTE

The infrared sensor can be connected only to the terminals marked "OPTI&12VI&GND".
