Parameter

Description

User name
Password

The user name is used by the SIP server to identify the local terminal
after the terminal is registered with the SIP server. The user name and
the password can contain only digits and letters.

Server type

This specifies the SIP server type:

l

OCS

: Select this option when the terminal is registered with

Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) or Microsoft
Lync Server.

l

Standard

: Select this option when the terminal is registered with

other SIP servers.

Transmission type

This specifies the protocol used for SIP signal transmission:

l

TCP

: Use the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) for reliable

SIP signal transmission.

l

UDP

: Use the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) for SIP signal

transmission with reduced latency.

l

TLS

: Use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to provide

communication security for SIP signal transmission. With this
option selected, a root certificate must be imported when the
terminal registers with a SIP server. For details, see 

10.4.8

SRTP encryption

This is one of the modes for encrypting media streams.
SRTP encryption increases video communication security.

Video request
handling

This specifies how the terminal handles video requests from remote
endpoints during SIP audio calls or multipoint conferences:

Accept automatically

: The terminal automatically accepts video

requests from remote endpoints.

l

Reject automatically

: The terminal automatically rejects video

requests from remote endpoints.

l

Manual

: The terminal prompts you to accept the video request

from a remote endpoint.

When the terminal needs to be managed by the MediaManager remotely, the Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) parameters of the terminal must be set.
