Balun-RCA2-IW
The Balun-RCA2-IW connects one
or two stereo sources (such as a
computer, MP3 player or CD player)
in one room to your whole-house au-
dio controller or receiver in another
room. Two baluns are required to
send the line-level signal from one
area to another. The two baluns are
connected to one another via CAT-5
cable. The Balun-RCA2-IW fits most
normal single-gang electrical box as
well as most post-construction box-
es and mud-rings.
The Balun-RCA2-IW is shipped with
2 RCA noise-cancelling connectors
to be place in the unused connec-
tions when only
one source is be-
ing sent/received.
The connectors re-
duce any possible
noise that may ap-
pear when only one
source is connected
to the balun.

Overview
Each balun has a female RJ45 Cat5 connector for easy connection to a standard Cat5e cable. Basic
connection and use of HTD baluns is straightforward (see on next page).
An extra Cat5 or Cat6 cable can be run between your home theater receiver location and your
whole-house audio equipment location (if they are not the same). Because our baluns provide for
TWO stereo signals, you can use one stereo input to send audio from the home theater receiver into
the whole-house system, and you can use the other stereo input to send audio in the opposite direc-
tion from the whole-house system into the home theater receiver. In this way, all of the sources con-
nected to the home theater receiver are available to the whole-house audio system, and vice versa.
