Note!
The bypass valve should not be closed for more than a short interval, because
the risk of dust build-up and blockage in the pre-separator increases
significantly.

Manual cleaning of the filter using the slide gate
Tip!
To ensure effective cleaning of the filter, all gaskets on the dust extractor should
be checked to ensure that they are undamaged and that they seal tightly.
Manual filter cleaning means that the filter is cleaned manually when the dust
extractor's capacity to take up dust reduces.
The slide gate is used to achieve negative pressure in the cylinder packet (position 1 and
position 2 in Figure 3-1, page
), in order to obtain as effective filter cleaning as
possible.
