Cordless
Riveter
Hire Shops
A powerful cordless riveter suitable
for steel, stainless steel and
aluminium blind rivets up to 5mm
diameter.
Operating & Safety Guide 977
Connect a charged battery to the riveter
, simply
push into the rear of the handle until it clicks into
position.
Hold the units body with both hands, taking care
not to block any of the air vents in the process.
Adopt a stable stance that gives a good view of
the work.
Do not work in areas where you are forced to
stand on loose debris or on a slippery uneven
surface.
There are two ways in which the unit can be used.
You can place the rivet head into the pre-drilled
hole on the work then slide the riveter over the
rivet.
Alternatively, you can insert the rivet mandrel into
the riveter then offer the rivet to the work. If this
system is used take care not to operate the unit
unless the rivet is in the work.
NEVER point a loaded riveter at anything or
anybody.
Either way, keep the riveter square to the work
and apply just enough pressure to hold the rivet
against the work piece.
Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits.
If it will not do what you want with reasonable
ease and speed, assume you have the wrong type of
riveter for the job. Contact your local HSS Hire Shop for
advice.
Keep the equipment clean
- you will find this less of a
chore if you clean it regularly, rather than wait until the
end of the hire period.
When not in use
, store the equipment somewhere
clean, dry and safe
from thieves.
Having finished with the unit, release the trigger
and remove the battery.
Unscrew the spent mandrel container, empty the
contents then re-fit it to the riveter.
Then give the unit a final clean up ready for
return,
to your local HSS Hire Shop.
