Removing and replacing the HPE Smart Storage Battery

Procedure

1. Power down the compute module

.

2. Remove the compute module

.

3. Remove the access panel

.

4.

Place the compute module on a flat, level work surface.

5.

Unplug the battery cable from the system board.

6. Remove all DIMM baffles

, and disconnect the battery from the system board.

7.

Remove the HPE Smart Storage Battery.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
