Holding the handles, lift the storage enclosure onto
the rails and push it into position.
WARNING:
Always use at least two people to
lift an enclosure into the rack and ensure that
the enclosure is aligned with the rails. When
loading an enclosure into the rack above chest
level, a third person is required. Two people
must support the weight while the third person
assists with aligning the enclosure with the rails.
4.
Tighten the thumbscrews to secure the enclosure to
the rack.
5.
Attach a retaining bracket to each side of the rear of
the storage enclosure and secure them to the rack.
6.
Insert the two locking nuts for the server node into the
rack; one on each front column.
7.
Install the server node into the rack and secure it
using the thumbscrews on the front bezel of the unit.
Attaching the security bezel
Procedure
1.
Insert the security bezel right tab into the slot on the
chassis and then rotate the bezel to close.
2.
Lock the bezel.
The key to lock the bezel is attached to the back of
the security bezel. One key is supplied.
Connecting the storage enclosure SAS
cables
These instructions describe how to cable the base
storage enclosure that is bundled with the server node. It
can be identified by the
JBOD1
label on the rear pull-out
tab of the 5200 enclosure or affixed to the rear of the
5250/5650 enclosure.
If you are cabling more than one storage enclosure, see
the installation guide before proceeding.
