HPE StoreOnce 5250 and 5650 Capacity Upgrade Kits

Introduction

The HPE StoreOnce 5250 and 5650 Systems consist of:

• A server node (containing operating system disks only)

• One 5U storage enclosure with preconfigured storage on 15 hard disks, 4 TB or 8 TB

Use the following options to expand your storage:

•

BB974A: HPE StoreOnce 5250/5650 44 TB Capacity Upgrade Kit

One disk pack containing eleven 4 TB disks. Add the disk packs to the base enclosure and to capacity
upgrade enclosures as described in this guide. You can add up to five 44 TB disk packs to a BB966A
enclosure for a total of 70 disks in each enclosure.

All disks in the enclosure must be the same capacity. Do not install this capacity upgrade kit in the
BB968A 120 TB enclosure.

BB976A: HPE StoreOnce 5250/5650 88 TB Capacity Upgrade Kit

One disk pack containing eleven 8 TB disks. Add the disk packs to the base enclosure and to capacity
upgrade enclosures as described in this guide. You can add up to five 88 TB disk packs to a BB968A
enclosure for a total of 70 disks in each enclosure.

All disks in the enclosure must be the same capacity. Do not install this capacity upgrade kit in the
BB966A 60 TB enclosure.

BB966A: HPE StoreOnce 5250/5650 60 TB Drawer Upgrade Kit

One 5U storage enclosure containing fifteen 4 TB disks. Once you have filled all the bays in the base
enclosure using the applicable disk packs, you can add new enclosures to your system. Use the
BB974A disk packs to completely fill the existing enclosure before adding another enclosure. The
StoreOnce 5250 System supports a maximum of one upgrade storage enclosure in addition to the
base storage enclosure. The StoreOnce 5650 System supports a maximum of three upgrade storage
enclosures in addition to the base storage enclosure.

BB968A: HPE StoreOnce 5250/5650 120 TB Drawer Upgrade Kit

One 5U storage enclosure containing fifteen 8 TB disks. Once you have filled all the bays in the base
enclosure using the applicable disk packs, you can add new enclosures to your system. Use the
BB976A disk packs to completely fill the existing enclosure before adding another enclosure. The
StoreOnce 5250 System supports a maximum of one upgrade storage enclosure in addition to the
base storage enclosure. The StoreOnce 5650 System supports a maximum of three upgrade storage
enclosures in addition to the base storage enclosure.
