CAUTION:
Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed.
Operating the server in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to
thermal damage.
IMPORTANT:
For optimum cooling, install fans in all primary fan locations.
For more information, refer to the fan locations table in the server user guide.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Removing and replacing the FlexibleLOM
Procedure
1.
Power down the server (
on page 41).
2.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Disconnect the LAN segment cables.
4.
Do one of the following:
• Extend the server from the rack (

• Remove the server from the rack (

on page 42).
5.
Remove the FlexibleLOM.
