Replacing a disk drive
About this task
Use this procedure multiple times for replacing multiple disk drives.
Before you begin
HP Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) disks are hot-swappable. Follow the instructions in
Avaya Call

®
for your
version of CMS to complete the procedures before removal of the disk.
Note:
HPE DL20 is not hot-swappable because it has one disk.
Procedure
1. Locate the disk drive you want to remove. A map of drive locations is located on the front
right side of the computer.
2. Press the drive button to release the drive latch.
3. Pull firmly on the drive latch to slide the drive out of the drive bay.
4. Set the drive aside on an antistatic mat.
5. Remove the replacement hard disk drive from the shipping container and antistatic
packaging.
