4.4.8 GPU module replacement
To replace a GPU module:
1. Power down the system.
2. Disconnect the system from power.
3. Remove the front top cover.
4. Loosen the four screws that secure the GPU module’s heatsink. Loosen the screws in an “X”
pattern.
5. Lift the heatsink out of the chassis.
6. Loosen the eight screws that secure the GPU module.
7. Lift the GPU module out of the chassis.
8. Inspect the GPU module socket for debris or bent pins. Remove any debris and fix any bent
pins before inserting the replacement GPU module.
9. Insert the replacement GPU module.
10. Secure the GPU module with eight screws.
Note:
Tighten the outer four screws first and then the inner four screws. Use an “X” pattern
to tighten each set of screws.
11. Clean the old TIM off of the heatsink.
