CAUTION:
To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the compute module unless all bays
are populated with either a component or a blank.
Removing the compute module
Procedure
1. Identify the proper compute module.
2. Power down the compute module .
3. Remove the compute module.
4. Install the compute module end cap when the compute module is outside of the frame.
5. Place the compute module on a flat, level work surface.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the internal system
components to cool before touching them.
