Removal and replacement procedures 37

To install the HDD cage:

Position the HDD cage in the tray and install it as shown in below figure.

Fasten the two thumbscrews.

Fasten the screws in the upper corner.

CAUTION:

The HP ProLiant SL390s G7 4U Half-width Server supports disk drive hot-swapping. To

avoid hand contact with an electrical hazard, do not remove more than one drive carrier a time.

To install an SFF hard drive:

Push the SFF hard drive into the HDD cage until it stops.

Press the SFF hard drive cam latch inward until it clicks.

IMPORTANT:

Do not discard the hard drive blank. If the drive is removed in the future, you must

reinstall the hard drive blank to maintain proper system airflow.
