Integrated Lights-Out Standard Security Override
The iLO Standard Security Override enables the administrator full access to the iLO
Standard processor. This is necessary in the event of a lost or forgotten administrator
password and to flash the iLO Standard boot-block. The iLO Standard Security
Override is located inside the server.

The iLO Standard Security Override enables emergency access to the administrator
with physical control of the server system board. Setting the iLO Standard Security
Override enables login access, with all privileges, without a user ID and password.
To set the iLO Standard Security Override:
1.
Power down the server. Refer to “Powering Down the Server” in Chapter 5,
“Installing Hardware Options.”
2.
Extend the server from the rack. Refer to “Extending the Server from the Rack”
in Chapter 5, “Installing Hardware Options.”
3.
Open the rear access panel. Refer to “Opening and Removing the Access Panels”
in Chapter 5, “Installing Hardware Options.”
4.
Locate the iLO Standard Security Override, and move the switch from the off
position to the on position.
