Option port

A removable option port can be installed on the back of the computer.

To remove the option port:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 20

Remove the access panel (

Access panel on page 21

Remove the drive cage (

Drive cage on page 25

From the inside of the chassis, remove the two Phillips screws that secure the assembly to the system
board (1).

Pull the option port assembly up to disengage it from the connector on the system board, and then
remove the assembly (2).

To install the option port connector assembly, reverse the removal procedures.
