Spare part number

Speaker assembly

599566-001

Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 36

Remove the switch cover (see

Switch cover on page 37

Remove the keyboard.

Remove the speakers:

Position the computer right-side up with the front toward you.

Disconnect the speaker cable

(1)

from the system board.

NOTE:

The two speakers are connected with a single cable.

Remove the two PM2.5×3.0 screws

(2)

that secure the speakers to the base enclosure.

Remove the speaker cable from the clips and routing channel.

Remove the tape holding the left speaker to the base enclosure.

Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, gently pry the left speaker from the base enclosure

the left speaker

up and away at an angle.
