Before removing the hard drive assembly, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 29

Remove the bottom cover (see

Bottom cover on page 30

Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 38

Remove the hard drive assembly:

Disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board ZIF connector (1).

Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the hard drive assembly to the computer.

Lift the hard drive assembly out of the computer (3).
