Removing the CD-ROM Drive to Install a DVD Drive

To install a DVD drive in the CD-ROM drive bay, you must first remove the
CD-ROM drive, which requires the following steps:

Power down the server. See “Powering Down the Server” in this chapter.

Remove the access panel. See “Removing the Access Panel” in this chapter.

Remove the CPU and I/O fans:

Push in on the release lever (1).

Lift the fan out of the server (2).
