Server Configuration and Utilities
SmartStart Scripting Toolkit
The SmartStart Scripting Toolkit is a set of Microsoft MS-DOS®-based utilities that
enables you to configure and deploy servers in a customized, predictable, and
unattended manner. These utilities provide scripted server and array replication for
mass server deployment and duplicate the configuration of a source server onto target
systems with minimum user interaction.
For more information, and to download the SmartStart Scripting Toolkit, refer to the
HP website (
www.hp.com/servers/sstoolkit
).
Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility
The Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility displays information about the server
hardware and tests the system to be sure that it is operating properly. To access the
Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility, refer to the SmartStart CD or refer to the HP
website (
www.hp.com/servers/manage
).
For more information, refer to the Management CD in the
ProLiant Essentials
Foundation Pack
.
Drivers
The server includes new hardware that may not have driver support on all operating
system installation media. If you are installing a SmartStart supported operating
system, use the SmartStart software and its Assisted Path feature to install the
operating system and latest driver support. If you do not use the SmartStart CD to
install an operating system, drivers for some of the new hardware are required. These
drivers, as well as other option drivers, ROM images, and value-add software can be
downloaded from the HP website (
www.hp.com/support
).
