Installing and Configuring

Opening the Side Panel

The power supply and fan can be installed and removed through the side panel. The user can
also access the CPU, system board, memory DIMMs, and all SCSI and IDE cables and power
cords.

1. Power off the server and disconnect all power cords and any telecommunications cables.

2. Unlock the upper bezel.

3. Lift the latch and open the panel. Refer to Figure 2-4.

4. To remove the panel, lift up the panel from its track.
