Boot-once scalability
– scales up to 1.3PB internally
and 247PB externally (XP24000) offering storage
consolidation for enterprise organisations
• No single point of failure –
all XP Disk array
components are redundant and hot swappable

power supplies, batteries, fans and control processors
• High performance –
advanced crossbar fault-tolerant
architecture results in outstanding levels of random
and sequential I/o operations
• Heterogenous across major operating systems

What’s New?
• thin Provisioning allows virtual disk allocations greater
than physically installed disk quantities. reduces cost
by allowing later purchase and installation of disk
capacity without impact to applications
• New XP20000 and XP24000 are 4 gb/s Fibre
Channel end-to-end
• external Storage XP virtualises heterogeneous disk
arrays, so that hosts see the capacity, but not the
physical attributes of the storage devices. Supports
arrays from HP, HDS, eMC, IBM and SUN
