The touchpad spare part kit does not include the touchpad cable. The touchpad cable is included in
the Cable Kit, spare part number L14906-001, and includes double-sided adhesive.

Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for disassembly on page 22
).
2.
Remove the bottom cover (see
).
3.
Remove the battery (see
Remove the touchpad:
1.
Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the system board (1).
2.
Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the touchpad bracket to the computer.
3.
Remove the touchpad bracket from the computer (3).
4.
Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 broadhead screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer.
5.
Remove the touchpad from the computer (5).
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
