Running Offline Diagnostics and Utilities
Offline diagnostics and utilities can be run from the Support Plus CD-ROM, when it is used as bootable
media:
Step 1. Boot the computer system to the Boot Console Handler (BCH) prompt (for example,
BOOTADMIN>), and enter
search
for a list of bootable devices.
Step 2. Select the CD-device and boot from that device (for example, BOOTADMIN>
bootSCSI.3.3.
).
Step 3. At the ISL prompt, enter
ODE
.
NOTE ODE stands for Offline Diagnostics Environment.
Step 4. Enter help for a list and description of available commands. Enter
help <command>
or
help <var>
for additional information.
Step 5. To list the ODE modules that will run on the current computer system, enter ls at the ODE prompt.
Step 6. To run an ODE module interactively, enter the module name at the ODE prompt. Once the ODE
module loads, enter help for a list of commands.
Step 7. To run a module non-interactively, enter
run
at the ODE prompt.

Running the Extended Memory Test
The extended memory test in ODE is called, MEM2. It is a 64-bit Memory Test Diagnostic.
Running the Peripheral Verification Test
The peripheral verification test in ODE is called, PERFVER2. It is a 64-bit peripheral verifier.
