Installing Microsoft Network Drivers
This document explains how to install the network drivers required to use the PC
with a network.
•
If the PC is supplied with a LAN Disk, use this to install the LAN drivers.
•
If the PC has preinstalled software on the hard disk, the LAN drivers are supplied
on the PC's hard disk in subdirectories in the
\LAN
directory.
If you want to use the PC as a LAN Manager client, refer to “LAN Manager 2.x DOS
and OS/2 Client Driver with NetBEUI Protocol” on page 48 .
If you want to use the PC under Windows for Workgroups, refer to “NDIS 2.01
Driver for Windows for Workgroups 3.1” on page 51 or “NDIS 2.01 and 3.0 Drivers
for Windows for Workgroups 3.11” on page 52 .
If you want to use the PC under Windows NT, refer to “NDIS 3.0 Driver for Windows
NT 3.5” on page 54 or “Miniport Driver for Windows NT” on page 55 .
If you want to use the PC under Windows 95, refer to “NDIS 2.01, 3.1 and 4 Drivers
for Windows 95 and Windows 95 OSR2” on page 57 .
NOTE Before installing the network drivers, connect the HP Ethernet Family Adapter to
the LAN and set up (configure) the HP Ethernet Family Adapter.
