7. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Lower the deck until all the HI-LO actuator shoulder bolts
have enough clearance to be removed.
2. Unplug the stretcher from the mains supply.
3. Safely support both ends of the deck, ensuring the
supports take the full weight.
4. Cut all the cable ties secured to the elevator.
5. Using a 4mm hex key, disconnect the earth cable on the
elevator axle (A).
6. Using a #2 square drive screwdriver, disconnect the earth
cable at the top of the right hand elevator arm.
7. Using a 5mm hex key and a 13mm spanner, remove the
two shoulder bolts attaching the actuators to the elevator
assembly. Allow the actuators to rest on the floor.
8. Using an 8mm hex key, disconnect the stabiliser bar (C)
by removing the M10x20 screw (D). Repeat this procedure
for both stabiliser bars (see Detail B). See warning above.
9. Using an 8mm hex key, remove the four M10x50 cap
screws (F) from the pivot block tops (G) either side of the
elevator axle (see Detail E).
10. Lift off the pivot block tops (G) and bush halves (H) and
set components aside.
11. Lift the elevator out of the pivot block bottom and slide out
of deck channels.
12. Prepare replacement head end elevator for assembly:
i. Pull off the two roller bushes (J) from the existing
elevator (see Figure 11).
ii. Grease the inside of the roller bushes and slide
onto the replacement elevator.
iii. Apply adhesive onto the new end plugs (K) and
insert into either side of the replacement elevator
axle.
iv. Grease the area where the elevator axle is to sit
inside the pivot block mounts.
v. Grease deck channels.
13. Finish installing the new head end elevator by reversing
the procedure from step 13 (see warning and caution
above).
NOTE:
Use threadlock on all M10 screws and torque to
45 Nm.
14. Conduct a PAT test on the stretcher.
15. Plug the power cord into the mains supply. Verify all
stretcher functions are working correctly before returning
to service.
