Using the Ceramic Hob

WARNING: IF THE SURFACE IS CRACKED, SWITCH
OFF THE APPLIANCE TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF
ELECTRIC SHOCK, FOR  HOB SURFACES OF GLASS-
CERAMIC OR SIMILAR MATERIAL WHICH PROTECT
LIVE PARTS.

After connecting the cooker to mains, all segments of all
displays are activated and a beep sounds.

Switching on the cooking zones:

To switch on a heating zone turn the knob corresponding
to a chosen heater clockwise or anticlockwise choosing
a desired power level from 1 to 10. When a heater is
switched on and power level set, a beep sounds and the
corresponding display shows the selected power level..
A heater is switched off when the control knob
corresponding to this heater is turned to power level 0
position and the display switches off after 10 seconds.

! If a non-suitable pan or no pan is put on an activated
induction heater, the corresponding display shows the
current power level and a ‘u’ letter alternately. After 60
seconds the heater is automatically deactivated, a beep
sounds and the corresponding display shows a ‘o’ letter
(heater is not active but the corresponding control knob
is not in 0 position). To complete the switching off of the
heater turn the control knob to power level 0 position.

Booster function

The booster function for some of the cooking
zones may be used to shorten heating-up times.
To activate booster (extra power) function turn the knob
corresponding to a chosen heater to power level 10. The
letter „P” appears on the display.

! The booster function only works for a limited period
of 10 minutes. After 10 minutes at booster power level,
the heater is automatically deactivated, a beep sounds
and the corresponding display shows a ‘o’ letter.

Power management

The cooktop maximum power limit is 7200W. This power
limit can be reduced by the user to 2800W, 3500W or
6000W.
The sequence to set a new Cooktop Power Limit is:
1.Turn all the knobs to power level 8 before connecting

the cooktop to mains

8

8

8

8

2.After connecting the cooktop to mains  the leftmost

display of the cooktop shows the first digit of

the current power limit , the next display shows
the second digit (the last two „0” digits are not
displayed)

3.Turn all the knobs to power level 10 (booster) position

and different power limit options will displayed
alternately (5sec each option)

4.When display shows the desired power level, to hold

this value, turn any of the knobs to 0 position.

5.To save the new power limit turn all the knobs to 0

position (and wait until cooktop is reset)

!if all control knobs are moved to booster power level
position, the power limit options are alternated again.

!With power limit  set, if the power of the cooktop is going
to exceed the maximum power limit, the power level of
a heater is automatically reduced until the power of the
cooktop is lower or equal the maximum power limit. The
display corresponding to the heater in reduced power
level situation shows the reduced power level and a ‘r’
letter alternately; and a warning beep sounds.

The ‘r’ letter indicates that the power level of the heater
has been decreases but the corresponding control knob
is not in the new power level position. When the control
knob is turned to the position of the new power level
or a lower power level, the ‘r’ letter is removed and the
warning beep stops.

When power on one heater is already erduced, the
decrease  of the power level of another heater is
automatically increased as possible.
This automatic recovery of the power level only works for
the last heater to enter in reduced power level situation.

Residual heat indicator

Residual heat indicates that the cooktop glass on top of
a deactivated heater is hot.
When a heater is switched off and the heater is hot, the
corresponding display shows a ‘H’ letter.

Automatic safety off

A heater can be active in the same power level for a
maximum specific time, which depends on the power
level. Next table shows the maximum operation times.
After the maximum time at same power level, the heater
is automatically deactivated, a beep sounds and the
corresponding display shows a ‘o’ letter.
To complete the switching off of the heater, turn the control
knob to power level 0 position
