Chapter 15. Optional System Components

Using the GemStar Docking Station

(List 13075 all codes)

CAUTION: Ensure two fresh, disposable AA batteries are installed for backup

power when using other power sources (e.g., AC mains adaptor,

docking station, battery pack). The pump will continue to operate on

backup power if the external power source fails. Refer to caution

regarding Power Loss on page 15.

To connect the pump

Mount the docking station to the I.V. pole and tighten the knob. Install fresh

batteries.

Align the connectors on the bottom of the pump with the connectors on the

docking station.

Slide the pump into the docking station until it snaps into place.

Connect the docking station to AC mains power.

To charge docking station:

Connect the docking station to the AC mains power.

Leave the

Li-Ion Docking Station connected to AC mains power for at least 6

hours when not in use or to recharge the docking station.

WARNING: DO NOT touch connectors. Refer to caution on page 17.

Note: The Li-Ion docking station light is yellow while the docking station is charging.

When the docking station is charged or not charging, the light is green.

The Li-Ion docking station cannot be charged when the room temperature is greater

than 104°F (40°C) or less than 41°F (5°C).
