Folding/Unfolding
Hydraulic movements can lead to severe
accidents and injuries.
Instruct people to leave the danger zone before
operating the hydraulic system.
Always keep an eye on the machine during the
folding process.
Folding movements must only be performed on
firm and level ground.
The folding process should only be performed in
the field because the coulter discs could get
caught in the ground.
If the folding process is performed on the road,
discs and road surface layer could get damaged.
With negative hitch load, the machine may tilt
back and cause severe injury to persons. Lower
the machine correctly before unhitching! The
proper use of the stabilizing jacks on the front
and rear of the machine will aide in a safe
unhitching procedure!
The Maestro RC comes with its own menu for
the folding process in the E-Manager controls.
The menu guides you automatically through the
folding process.
The Toolbar of the machine comes in two basic
configurations:
- 30’ toolbar (RC 1230)
- 40’ toolbar (RC 1630)
Both configurations utilize hydraulic cylinders for
wing down pressure. Hydraulic accumulators
equipped on the machine allow the wings to flex
and contour with uneven ground conditions.
Menu “Folding”
The Maestro display monitor shows the symbols
with a gray shade. Only active symbols appear
in their full color.
NOTE: Screen shots used to describe
Fold/Unfold procedures may vary based on
monitor used, i.e.. Standard HORSCH
Terminal vs. Touch 800/1200, etc., and
version software installed.
Once the conditions for the next work step are
fulfilled, the display of symbols will change from
shaded to full color and the next step can be
executed.
