Distributor tower with fertiliser hoses

7.5.1 Fertiliser fan with direct drive

The hydraulic fan is directly driven by the tractor hydraulics. 
The tractor must be equipped with a flow control valve to control the fan speed.
The leak oil line must be connected to the tractor free of pressure!

The hydraulic pump must deliver sufficient oil to prevent the fan speed from drop-
ping, even when the tractor speed drops or other hydraulic functions are activated.

Fertiliser fan

The generated air flow conveys the fertiliser from the fall sluice to the coulters. 
The required air quantity depends on the type and weight of the fertiliser quantity,
the number of drill units and the speed.

It must, however, not be too weak, so that the fertiliser does not remain in the
hoses and causes blockage. 
To weak an air flow may also have a negative effect on the distribution.

NOTE

Ø

The fan speed setting for fertiliser placement must be checked on all coulters
before starting work and also at regular intervals when working on large
areas.
