NOTE
Depending on the result and the evaluation of
the test program change the setting and repeat
the test, until the best setting has been reached.
¾
Change only one parameter at a time with
each test (metering disc, grain feed gate,
vacuum, etc.)! Otherwise it may be impossible
to determine which parameter is responsible
for which change.
Inspection
Checking one row using the test program
of the drill controls
Park the seed bar so that the drill units are in
horizontal position.
For testing fill in seed only in one row. If changes
are still be made to the metering unit, all other
metering units would have to be emptied again.
All rows on which no testing is performed:
¾
Set the grain feed gate to the 0 position.
¾
The seed must be dry and, as far as possible,
free of dust and foreign objects.
¾
The seed must not have been mixed and
should, as far as possible, be uniform in shape
and size.
¾
Fill in seed.
¾
Place a bag under the downpipe.
¾
Switch on the E-Manager and run the vacuum
fan.
¾
Adjust the vacuum as specified in the table.
¾
Start the test program in the E-Manager – see
instructions of the drill controls.
The test results and thus the seed quality
depend on:
•
Metering disc
•
Position of the grain feed gate
•
Quality of seed (uniform shape and grain size,
dressing, moisture, etc.)
•
Vacuum setting
•
Humidity
•
Rotation speed of the metering disc (seed
quantity and working speed)
•
Position of drill unit
