7.2.1 Manoeuvring the uncoupled
machine
DANGER
Special attention must be paid when
manoeuvring with the service brake
system released, because the shunting
vehicle now solely brakes the towed
crop protection sprayer.
The machine must be connected with the
shunting vehicle before the releasing valve
on the trailer brake valve is operated.
The shunting vehicle must be braked.
If the air pressure inside the air vessel
drops below 3 bar (e.g. because of sev-
eral actuations of the releasing valve or
leakages in the brake system), the ser-
vice brake system can no longer be
operated via the releasing valve.
To release the service brake
¾
fill the air vessel.
¾
completely drain the brake system through the
drainage valve on the air vessel (see also 9.6).
1. Connect the machine to the shunting vehicle.
2. Brake the shunting vehicle.
3. Remove wheel chocks and release the
parking brake.
4.
Pneumatic brake system
only:
Press in the button on the releasing valve
against the stop (see Chapt. 3.15).
→ The service brake system comes loose
and the machine cannot be manoeuvred.
Once the shunting process is finished, pull
out the button on the releasing valve against
the end stop.
→ The accumulated pressure in the air vessel
once again brakes the towed sprayer.
5. Brake the manoeuvring vehicle once again
after the shunting process is finished.
6. Apply the parking brake again and secure
the machine with wheel chocks against
rolling away.
7. Unhitch the machine from the shunting
vehicle.
